Mont Blanc Granite - Volume 6

This is a selective rock climbing guidebook covering the Val Ferret area from Pointe Gassi to the lower buttresses of the Aiguilles Rouges de Triolet, on the Italian side of the Monte Blanc range. Given the specific nature of some of the walls and mountains in Val Ferret (remoteness, altitude, and glacier approach), many of the routes described are major alpine undertakings that require experience, fitness, acclimatisation, and mountaineering experience. The area may not be the best known or busiest of Mont Blanc's climbing areas, but it offers a wealth of high-quality routes in wild and unspoilt surroundings.

The guidebook describes 248 pure rock multi-pitch routes in the Val Ferret area, split into 13 sectors. For each sector there is approach information, a map, and a description of the character and style of climbing to be found.

For each of the 248 routes there is a pitch-by-pitch description, recommended gear, information regarding presence/absence of in-situ gear, and descent information. All the routes are also shown on colour photo topos.
